John (Jack) Douglas Gregson

John Gregson was born in Blackfald, Alberta. The family moved to Courtenay when he was young. He graduated from UBC in 1934 with a BA, and from University of Alberta in 1936 with an MSc. He worked for the Government of Canada Department of Agriculture as an entomologist, where he became an expert on ticks.

He married Barbara Grace Claxton, a Registered Nurse, in Kamloops on May 23 1939.

He exhibited artwork in B.C. Artists exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery from 1941 to 1949. He was living in Kamloops in the 1940s, and was still living there in 1977.

Gregson died in Kamloops at the age of 96.
