Cliff Fowler


Atelier Sketch Club (Secretary)

Cliff Fowler was a member of the Atelier Sketch Club, a group formed by art students taking Evening Classes at the Vancouver School of Art. The group put together an exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1940.

Fowler also exhibited in B.C. Artist exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1944, 1945, and 1948; and in the 1945 British Columbia At Work exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

The 1945 City Directory list G. Clif Fowler, commercial artist, 441 Seymour Street.

He later exhibited in the 1946 and 1948 Atelier Club Annual Exhibitions, also at the Vancouver Art Gallery. He was listed as the group's Secretary in the exhibition catalogues for both shows.

He also exhibited in 1948 at the Stanley Park in Pictures exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
