BURRARD BRIDGE

Original pen & ink drawing
July 2005

Image size 8.5" high by 11.0" wide (215 mm by 280 mm)
(Low resolution image illustrated)

INTRODUCTION

This is a quick sketch looking at Vancouver's Burrard Bridge seen from the sea-wall in the West End, just west of the Aquatic Centre. The mouth of False Creek is always an active spot for boat and people watching, and I love taking the ferries over to Granville Island or the Maritime Museum and back again.

The drawing was exhibited at the Architectural Institute of B.C. in the two person exhibition VIEWPOINTS, September 8 - October 20, 2005. The drawing was published in the Vancouver Sun on September 10, 2005; and on the club card advertising the exhibition.

It is drawn with a Pilot DR pigment ink pen, on architectural trace paper. The drawing is archivally matted with acid free 4-ply matteboard and liner, and framed in a 16" x 18" metal exhibition frame. It is available for purchase at $300.00 (three hundred) Canadian.
