Original pen & ink drawing
July 2006
Image size 8" high by 12" wide (200 mm by 300 mm)
(Cropped low resolution image illustrated)
INTRODUCTION
The Bloomfield cottage is one of the earliest buildings remaining on
Savary Island. It was built around 1920 by George Bloomfield. Although
the chimney was rebuilt due to shifting foundations, the rest of
the cottage is much like it was 80 years ago. The black metal hinges on
the front door are hand-wrought.
The image illustrated is a cropped version of the actual drawing.
It is drawn with Pilot DR pigment ink pens and india ink brush pen on
translucent vellum. The drawing is in a 12" x 16" OPUS black metal
exhibition. It is available for $500.00 (five hundred) Canadian.
