Frederic William Shore was born in London, England, the son of Frederic James Shore and Nell Phipps. He married Madge Storey in Vancouver on September 9, 1932. His occupation was given as picture framer, she was a clerk.

He exhibited work at the Vancouver Art Gallery in the 2nd Annual B.C. Artists exhibition in 1933, and later in 1934 and 1936. He was living in Vancouver.

Shore died in Vancouver at St. Vincent's Hospital on Dec. 25 1994.
