Sonia Cornwall

Sonia Cornwall was born in Kamloops, B.C. She was the daughter of artist Vivian Cowan. The family lived at the Onward Ranch at 150 Mile House, where visitors from the UBC arts program came to paint, including artists A.Y. Jackson and Joe Plaskett.

Cornwall was educated in Calgary, and married Hugh Cornwall in 1948.

She exhibited artwork in the 1950 annual B.C. Artists exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

She died at home in 2006 at the age of 87.
