Carl Henry von Ahrens

February 15 1863 - February 27 1936

Royal Canadian Academy of Arts (ARCA 1891-1899)

Carl Ahrens was born in Winfield, Ontario. Just after the turn of the century he was invited to start a pottery school for The Roycrofters. He later traveled across the United States to California.

He exhibited work in 1930 at the Vancouver Exhibition. He also had his work exhibited in the 1932 All Canadian Exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

He died in Toronto in 1936.
