P.M. Young was born in Fergus, Ontario, and was a pupil of the Technical School, Victoria, and of Miss Harper, Montreal. She was a painter in watercolour, and exhibited her work with the Island Arts and Crafts Society between 1926 and 1940. An exhibition entry form noted that she had been living in B.C. since 1912. She lived in Victoria.

She had work in the 1932 annual B.C. Artists exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
