Edwin Ivor Lane

November 6 1903 - April 4 1982

West Vancouver Sketch Club

Edwin I. Lane was born in Ynysybwl, Wales in 1903. (Don't ask me how to pronounce that place name). He married Helen Christie Ritchie in West Vancouver on August 15 1931. Both of their occupations were noted as "school teacher."

He exhibited artwork in the juried 1947 and 1948 B.C. Artists exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

He was a member of the West Vancouver Sketch Club in 1948.

The 1948 City Directory lists Lane as a school teacher working for the West Vancouver school district.

Lane died at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver in 1982 at the age of 78. He was widowed, living at 2090 Argyle in West Vancouver at the time.
