Thomas Bowman Tiffen

c1886 - October 20 1964

Atelier Sketch Club (Member)

T.B.Tiffen was a member of the Atelier Sketch Club, a group formed by art students taking Evening Classes at the Vancouver School of Art.

Tiffen exhibited in the 1946 and 1948 Atelier Club Annual Exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery, and later in the B.C. Artists exhibitions in 1948 and 1949.

B.C. Vital Statistics on-line (2010) notes that Thomas Bowman Tiffen died in Vancouver October 20, 1964 at the age of 78. Given the unusual last name and matching initials it is highly likely this refers to the artist.
