In 1933 Stone presented the Beatrice Stone Medal to the Gallery in honour of his wife following her death. The award was given annually to "the exhibitor whose picture, in colours, is judged as being of the highest standard of art exhibited" in the annual B.C. Artists exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
