David Hay Rankine

D.H. Rankine was born in Edinburgh, Scotland. He came to Canada c1913, and to North Vancouver c1925.

He exhibited work at the Vancouver Art Gallery in the 1936, 1940, and 1942 B.C. Artists exhibitions. The artist was living in North Vancouver.

Rankine died in N Vancouver aged 98, occupation noted as showcard artist for retail greeting cards, from which he had retired in 1936 after 28 years. He had been married to Catherine Heard, who pre-deceased him.
