Laura Adeline Muntz (Mrs. C.W.B. Lyall)

Laura Adeline Muntz was born in Radford, Warwickshire, England, in 1860. She came to Canada with her family in 1869, settling in Muskoka, Ontario. She took art training in Toronto, in England in 1887, and at the Academie Colarossi in France. She also studied in Holland in Italy. She married C.W.B. Lyall in 1915.

Although primarily an Eastern Canadian artist noted for portraits of mothers and children, she exhibited with the Island Arts and Crafts Society in 1914.

She also exhibited in the Vancouver Exhibition in 1924.

She died in Toronto in 1930.
