Mrs. Ida Mackay was from Scotland. She exhibited artwork in Vancouver in 1920 with the Vancouver Sketch Club.

She exhibited her artwork in the B.C. Artists annual at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1935. She was living in North Vancouver at that time.
