34 Group


Robert W. Hunter was born in British Columbia in 1915. He presumably attended the B.C. College of Arts, since he was noted as being a member of the 34 Group.

He had a solo exhibition of watercolours at the VAG in 1939 that was referred to as "surrealist." He was living in Vancouver at the time.

He exhibited in the Stanley Park in Pictures exhibition at the Vancouver Art Gallery in 1948.
