R.E.S. Elliot exhibited artwork in the 1943, 1945 and 1946 B.C. Artists exhibitions at the Vancouver Art Gallery. The artist lived in Thurlow in 1943, and later in Courtenay.

This may be Robert Edward Elliot (1904-1967) who died in Burnaby at the age of 62, who worked as a logging Supervisor, married to Evelyn Rowena Ketchum, per BC Vital Statistics on-line.
