A charming and interesting visual and textual history of the development of West Vancouver. Lucius Richard O'Brien's watercolour of Point Atkinson is an unexpected highlight in the art presented. The extensive list of place name origins is welcome, but divided into a number of sub-alphabetized categories such as "Bays, Coves, Beaches, Islands, Promontories" and "Streets, Avenues and Thoroughfares - Historical" which makes looking for a single name more challenging than it need be. However, it does encourage looking through pages that might otherwise be skipped.
