Bridge Marker fragment - George Norris

This photograph by the Editor shows a top view of one of the original base connections for the glass spheres, which were actually laboratory flasks made in England. The flasks sat on a bronze support, lined on the top with rubber wedges used to cushion the glass sphere. Some of the outlines of the wedges are still visible on the left side of the broken glass. The hydraulic connection for filling the flask is visible in the center of the base.
