INTRODUCTION
This is a print from a number of series of lithographs that Jack Shadbolt (1909 -
1998) created between 1980 and 1996. The Secret Garden series was the first in 1980,
with at least two of the images - including this one - re-drawn as lithographs
from earlier drawings. One of the 40 Secret Garden #4 prints (from the artist's
collection) was exhibited at the Burnaby Art Gallery in the 1996 show
Counterpoint - The Prints of Jack Shadbolt, curated by Karen Henry. The
print is reproduced full page in the exhibition catalogue, page 30.
Float mounted in a 36" high x 30" wide aluminum exhibition frame, this
