"Art Gallery At Exhibition Great Attraction This Year"

Western Woman's Weekly, July 29, 1922

One gets so used to the everlasting "best ever" in almost everything that is arranged in the city that one hesitates to use such a phrase in speaking about things. However, judging by the list of pictures to be seen this year at the exhibition, if the names are anything to guarantee the quality of the work, one need have no hesitation in saying these will be the "best ever".

There are forty-nine paintings coming from representative artists, and eighty-two etchings. The latter should prove to be of great educational value to those interested in the arts, as there are examples by such masters as Sir Frank Short, Whistler, Strang, Zorn, McBey, Legros, and others who are well known. With the new surroundings and the renovated gallery the pictures this year will no doubt prove one of the most attractive features of the exhibition, and this is what the members of the Advisory Board are aiming for.
