B.C. ARTISTS' TRAVELLING EXHIBITION

Shortly before the close of the Sixth Annual B.C. Artists Exhibition we received a request from a group of art-lovers at Vernon (Editor: Okanagan Artists League), headed by Miss Susan Gibson, that a selection of representative paintings from the Exhibition in question should be sent to that point for showing. Owing to considerations of freight charges and limitations of space the Exhibition Committee was only able to send 70 pictures but these include examples from each of the groups into which the Exhibition was divided, sculpture excepted. After despatch of the pictures to Vernon we received an application from the Kamloops Rotary Club that the collection might be shown at that point after the Vernon exhibition closed, a request to which the Committee was very pleased to accede. Following the showing at Kamloops the pictures will, at the suggestion of Mrs. Maud Bowman, Curator, be sent to the Edmonton Museum of Arts.

This proof of interest in creative art by people living in the the interior of British Columbia is most gratifying and it is hoped that this year's experiment may only be the beginning of a regular annual tour of B.C. Artists' work.
