June 8 1939: Another Poet's Corner; Dorothy Nix; Flash; etc.

This page includes commentary on Charles H. Scott (the Deacon), Jack Shadbolt (J. Shadvitch), and Plato von Ustinov (Plato Hitler). The sketch of von Ustinov as Adolf Hitler is the only sign in all of the PUDDINGS that the storm clouds of World War II are looming on the horizon, and that summer will soon be over for a long time to come. It is one of a folio of original issues of The Savary Pudding, a broadside created by Vancouver School of Art summer students on Savary Island.
