Eugene Bond Appreciation and portrait

This tribute to Eugene Bond was issued in Volume 2 of The Savary Pudding, an original broadside created by Vancouver School of Art summer students on Savary Island in 1935. Portrait by Bob Hanlon. The Appreciation by Charles H. Scott reads:

TO EUGENE - ARTIST-
IN APPRECIATION OF THE CULINARY ARTS
To think of the Culinary Art is to think of Eugene - immaculately white in spotless kitchen - swift-moving, gentle, courteous, radiating a good humour that makes the veriest tyro feel that he (or she) too is really doing something.
For these qualities Eugene & for so ably ministering to the many wants of man (or woman) - WE SALUTE THEE!!
