Maud Sherman poster from first year at art school

This design class exercise by Maud Sherman was most likely painted in the 1925-26 school year at the Vancouver School of Decorative and Applied Arts. It was donated to me by Mrs. Joan Dendys, who had acquired it directly from June Sherman, Maud's niece. The painting is 24" high by 18" wide on poster paper, and is signed along the bottom edge "Maud Sherman, Class A". It was exhibited in the school's 75th Anniversary exhibition in 2000 at the Charles H. Scott Gallery on Granville Island.
