Portrait of Maud Rees Sherman

This is a detail from a photographic portrait of early Vancouver artist Maud Rees Sherman, taken on Savary Island. Maud is dressed up for one of the summer's costume balls. The photograph was presumably taken by her father Ruiter Stinson Sherman, a member of the Savary Island Park Association that developed Savary Island in the early 1900s.

The photograph was provided courtesy of the Savary Island Heritage Society.
