"Lonesome Pine, Indian Point, Savary Island"
This undated and unsigned pencil drawing by an unknown artist of
a tree on Savary Island was
one of a large number of artworks from the Maud
Sherman estate, that was donated to me by the late Mrs. Joan Dendys.
Interestingly, a photograph exists of this drawing hanging framed on
the wall of Sherman's studio at Parakontas,
dated about 1932. The City of Vancouver Archives has a photograph on
file of this same tree, dating from a few years later based on the
larger size of the tree.
